It happened.
The following people participated
Lloyd Davis - blogged
Anne Marie McEwan - Just want to say that the value in the meeting for me was being with interesting / interested and curious people who want to make something exciting happen. I am fascinated by social media ‘s democratising potential - and I want to know how different sorts of media are being creatively used for social change, particularly in workplaces (for learning, collaboration, creativity and self-determination). What am I going to do? Turn up to the next meeting, blog about the meeting just gone and engage in a bit of viral gossip.

Charlie Gower -I think the first meeting demonstrated two things. Firstly that lots of people were interested in taking part and also the foresight of Lloyd Davis. Lloyd is a smart guy but doesn’t have any attached arrogance and he knows he’s not always right. New ideas need to fleshed out from as many perspectives as possible. He’s realised this and is attempting to implement a new model for it. I wish all my employers were as flexible. Blinkers off! Looking forward to the next one.

Follow up actions
The governance / money group....
we need....
- legal / accountancy advice about how to structure the entity
- We think we know some funders / sponsors who want to get (PR, Branding in the space, sponsor an event, meet the members, opportunity to understand social media, be within the buzz)
- space - short let offices, lease-endings and possibly approved squatting rights
- Business plan for our vision and values, statement of aims.
Follow up on legal front. Douglas Howie from Barlow Lyde and Gilbert advises we set up as a Company Limited by Guarantee with £1 share capital. A consitution is needed plus Companies House registration and accountants.
