Open Co-working Brighton

Seeing as this is on the same day, I thought it would be instructive to link the two events and to compare notes, open up various live channels of communciation etc.

The Werks

45 Church Road

Hove, England BN3 2BE

In the spirit of Open Coffee / beer / juice, The Werks is opening up on Friday's for free coworking to developers, writers, creatives, freelancers and independents.

Paraphrasing Wikipedia: Coworking is a new pattern for working. Often work-at-home professionals, freelancers or frequent travellers end up working in an isolated way. Coworking is the social gathering of a group of people, who are still working independently, but who share values and are interested in the synergy that can happen from working with talented people in the same space.

We are launching Open Coworking Brighton on Friday. Open Coworking is  free and is intended to give freelancers, home workers and nomads the opportunity to work in a friendly environment around like minded people without having to succumb to Starbucks syndrome. If you want to break out of your home office and use our space, broadband and  facilities please sign up as attending:

The deal: come along (9:30 onwards), use our space, broadband and facilities and in return; respect the space and the people in it, collaborate and if you found it worthwhile come again.
